Welcome to WHMCS Guru v3 .
Welcome to WHMCS Guru v3 .
Hello all,
Welcome to the framework for WHMCS Guru v3. After a number of years on WordPress, and various other platforms, I have decided to do what I've been trying to do since the beginning, and tie it all together, in one platform, one website.
The goal:
Eventually, everything will be brought into this one site (except WHMCS of course), and you'll be able to get to it all, right here, through https://whmcs.guru. Until then, https://feedback.whmcs.guru (the old forums) will do, as a utility as it were.
Progress :
Right now, only the old 'feedback' area and blog posts are here. The forum posts are gone, but that wasn't that populated anyways
Why?:
For a number of reasons, honestly.
- WordPress is slow and somewhat clunky to maintain. Too much bloat to keep track of
- Unification of all sites (docs, community, main page, blog posts)
- Customization: WordPress has plugins, but as always, too many plugins makes things go bad, quickly.
Roadmap:
Right now , as shown above, blogs and feedback are good. Here's where I want to go with this next
- Create a two way sync between laravel and WHMCS for clients . This way, the two talk together and your account is already here. This is the first priority
- Move over docs into their appropriate project
- Move the main site over
This will all be done with a test subdomain before anything is actually 'moved' over, and very, very heavily tested.
I look forward to comments and reactions. Let me know what you think in the comments here, and if you see issues, post them in the tagged project
